Retail Sales Representative for Reach-Contact (a division of Acosta) calling on large retailers.

Position Overview

Responsible for identifying opportunities, achieving strategic goals, and building relationships within an assigned territory through sales calls at key retail accounts. Primary responsibilities include increasing sales and market share of the brands represented, promotional compliance, incremental selling and managing on-shelf availability.

Essential functions

Responsible for all on-shelf availability, Promotional Display Compliance, and meeting sales or display targets across a territory of retail stores.

Complete in-call procedure following “The steps to the call’ standards. This includes ensuring all new products are on display, special projects are completed as requested as well as reporting on market intelligence and competitor activity.

Develop working relationships in all stores in your territory, recognizing Key Decision Makers (KDM) and communicating proactive sales plans.

Route plan to achieve 100% coverage of the territory and be responsible for the current priorities in each outlet as set out each month.

Achieve competitively superior in-store presence in the assigned stores, using data to sell concepts to multiple levels of management. Use sales tools, promotional information, brand and market information and Point of Sale provided.

Identify, uncover, and create opportunities that contribute to the overall success of the team and provide high levels of customer service and professionalism at all times.

Attend and contribute to Team meetings and weekly conference calls.

Qualifications

The jobholder must have a reliable car and must hold a valid, clean driving license

Preferably have territory management or route sales experience

Applicant must live centrally within the specified territory

Be willing to work with a ‘can do’ attitude and highly self-motivated and self-disciplined.
